Busy, busy
I have reading and literature reviews coming out my ears!
Not much blog time, but there are a few written ones that need scanning.
I’m currently considering the Sigma 10mm fisheye lens, but I’m not sure if I’ll be using it enough to justify its £380 price tag.

Tank Transfer Time-lapse
Six and a half hours, 1013 frames, a shot every twenty seconds. Phew, took a while but I’m pretty pleased with the outcome. Needs some more plants.

Tank Transfer Process
It’s now 5.00 pm and I’ve been doing the whole tank transfer since about 1.30 pm. It’s taken a while and I’m still not done! Fish have be put in and the filter’s running to clear the murky water so I’ll be able to see what and where I’m planting.
I’ve time-lapsed the whole process so it should be interesting to watch it progress in super-fast time.
Not entirely sure as to what to do with my old nano now. I’m open to suggestions.

Gravelly Goodness
Today all the stuff I’d ordered from Aqua Essentials arrived. The gravel looks good.
No doubt I’ll be spending a good chunk of my weekend setting up my new tank! Hurrah!

Inclemental Weather…Desk Bound
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve become more appreciative of a good notebook. At the moment I’m using a Bart Simpson A4 wire-bound notebook for my book chapter research notes and the holes in the paper where the wire goes through aren’t quite cleanly punched. It snows teeny bits of paper every time I turn a page. It’s not as bad as my other generic notebook, that’s like a bloody blizzard! They might only have been £1 each, but I still expect clean holes.
I’m finding that I’m vacuuming more often these days as a result.

New Tank
As a moderately early birthday present to myself, I brought a new tank. This will be replacing the current nano in my room.
This is a ca. 60 L bow-fronted tank. The lighting that comes with it is only a combined 22 w, I’ll be modifying it to accept my current 35 w power compact. I can’t wait to set it up. I’ve still got to order some fine black gravel since my fish shop only has the resin coated kind which looks tacky. It’s all very exciting.
