Yet Another 3D Rendering

Saturday, May 12th, 2012

Unsatisfied with the botched mouse test. I did another using something more complex (Mini replica of the Fat Lady statuette found at Hagar Qim) and with more consistently exposed frames and the result I’d say is pretty neat! If I really wanted to, I could manipulate it and have the resulting object 3D printed.

Further to my previous post, 123D Catch is also available as a webapp.

Birds, birds, birds

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

I was hoping to catch one of Cici’s friends with a bowl of dry cat food I left out but all I got was either the same greedy magpie pop up time and time again or several different ones. I’m not sure if the wood pidgeon got anything though.

The stones are there to stop the bowl moving about.

Snow Jac II

Monday, December 20th, 2010

This is the same video as the last one, except this time I’ve fiddled around with the export settings. It’s smoother, the frames are in the right place and its in glorious HD!

A View from Roast

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Here’s a timelapse I did while having breakfast with Xiao up in Roast at Borough Market. Fairly busy, even if it was post Christmas.

Fruitless Friday

Saturday, May 2nd, 2009

It was another Lee Valley afternoon yesterday. We went to some of the private hides and well, it was slim pickings. We put food out in the hope of getting some birds, but it just attracted the squirrels. A few birds did pop along for an afternoon snack, but I think the hides are over untill the autumn/winter. I really wanted a pic of a blue Jay. Anyway, there’s a montage of some of the squirrel shots.

Also a few stills. In the last photo, we trialed our floating camera platform. There are still some logistical issues to work out.

Eating South Africa

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

Sophie and I were chatting on MSN as we so often do and the topic came up about photos of us eating. Then it came to me, why not do a video slideshow of eating and food photos?! I could do it to Food Glorious Food from the musical Oliver!

I’m just full of these creative ideas sometimes that it surprises even me!

Lee Valley

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

Took Friday afternoon off for a spot of photography at Lee Valley. I’ve edited it using Animoto which looks quite cool, but better suited to people photography I reckon.

For those who’d rather have a look at still stills, here they are below.
