Eco-lighting

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

This is one of those, “why didn’t I think of that” ideas. It’s so simple and from the looks of it, pretty darn effective. Good for sunny places, not too sure about the UK though.

I like the jaunty music in the background, it’s so stereotypically Brazillian!

Tank Transfer Time-lapse

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Six and a half hours, 1013 frames, a shot every twenty seconds. Phew, took a while but I’m pretty pleased with the outcome. Needs some more plants.

Snap, Snap and Away

In search of a more capable point & shoot to complement my big 40D and very small Ixus i5, I picked up the A590. It’s kinda chunky, but quite nice to hold. The pics it takes aren’t bad either. I’ve managed to get CHDK to run on it, but haven’t had time to really fiddle around with it all that much.

Secrets

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

I was catching up on some of The Daily Show episodes I missed in the past week and they had Arianna Huffington on talking about her book “The Huffington Post Complete Guide to Blogging“. It was hilarious, one of the things she said was that people should blog about their public passions and secret passions. Now, if you started blogging about your secret passions, doesn’t that no longer make it a secret anymore?

Here’s a clip of the interview and for some behind the scenes stuff, click here.
