March pet updates

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

Watson’s tricky to photograph, he’s always on the move, rushing about, unless food’s proffered, then he’s all munch, munch, munch.

Cici’s much easier, he’s laid back and quite amenable to portrait photography…normally.

OCD Hamster

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

Watson is a bit OCD, wherever I put the chunks of the treats stick he’s taken apart, he’ll always pick it up and put it back into his “computer” which he uses as a pantry for all this nibbles. He’s ever so tidy.

Potty Training

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Since I got Watson, I’ve managed to toilet train him! I noticed that he peeed in a corner, so I mopped it up with a cotton bud and swiped it around in the corner loo I brought him, swishing it around in the litter.

He’s a fast learner and now pees in his loo. It should make cleaning out his cage much easier and prevent staining on the plastic tray and corrosion on the bars.

New Hamster Cage

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

I have decided to get myself a hamster. It was all a bit random really, Gauss had a dream that she owned a hamster and thought why not. A while ago, when I got the mouse, I too thought about getting a hamster but didn’t think about it too much. It wasn’t until Gauss’ dream that I thought I should also have a hamster. The last time I had one was ten years ago, her name was Brainz and she was so cute!! I’d bring her with us when we travelled around the UK on holidays. She’s probably had more life experience than most hamsters.

Here’s the cage set up. I’m going to get a dude hamster. He hasn’t arrived yet.
